20 July 2004
- first construction day. The backbone ordered at DERPAL its on its place :-) |
21 July 2004
- works are going on, the mechanism for roll-off roof is ready :-) |
Here you are how one of wheels look like, for of them travels on an iron "^" profil. Profil "^" - right angle" is attached to long iron plate which is atached to wooden bar. |
22 July 2004
- the roof is ready. Highlander's style :-) but should not cover too much of the sky. It needs some of your hands' power to move but I do not need any help on that. It should be electricaly moved in the future. Other works should be to protect all stell and wooden elements (painting). Than it should be possible to continue other works following which this "something" will start looking like an observatory (I hope I will manage :-) |
25 July 2004
- backbone of my observatory has been painted ith a special protective paint, and all iron element were cleaned and painted as well. There is still a lot of things to do but it is possible to take a picture with it at this stage :-) |
And here you can see the system which holds the roof on its place. Will it pass an exam and will stay on its place we will see during any first strong wind which is not very rare at my location. |
Four of such hooks, keep the roof on its place. |
1 August 2004
- the walls are ready and electricity is already inside the observatory. I am awaiting for external finish and doors. The next stage - electrical installation inside the observatory. |
3 August 2004
Electricity is inside. It was installed in a way which allows
for further modifications. Socets, switches and lamps are waterproof.
I installed also a delicate red ligh so my neighbour said something like:
"not bad idea with the light - girls will like it". The only missing part is longer pier
to orginise some go - go parties :-) |
8 August 2004
- almost finished. Still waiting for doors but it can be used from now :-) |
12 August 2004
- doors are with the rest :-)
28 August 2004
